National Literacy Trust

In January 2022, pupils from across the UK were challenged to write their own stories and reflections drawing from the accounts of The Windermere Children. Thanks to funding from the Marks Family Charitable Trust, and supported by the Lake District Holocaust Project, award-winning author of After The War (which is based upon the accounts of The Children), Tom Palmer and the National Literacy Trust teamed up to create resources for schools to guide their pupils’ work.
