It has always been important for those of us associated with LDHP to reflect on just how important Sir Martin Gilbert’s book “The Boys – Triumph Over Adversity” is. It has been the default reference book for the work we have done for so many years and continues to be positioned front and centre of the Boys story.
I never had the fortune to meet with Sir Martin face-to-face but we did communicate and exchange much-valued correspondence, and I feel fortunate indeed to have been able to do so.
His legacy continues, and his contribution to the research, study, and teaching of the Holocaust is incalculable. My thanks to Esther Gilbert for continuing his work, and for the links below.
